Ingredients
  

  • 3 very ripe bananas
  • 2 eggs
  • cups flour
  • 1 cup honey or sugar
  • cup greek yogurt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup butter
  • ½ cup crushed nuts. (I used Almond. but you can use your preferred nuts)
  • ½ cup dark Chocolate

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the oven to 150 degrees Celsius (fan-assisted) and prepare a loaf tin by greasing and lightly flouring it.
  • Start by mashing your ripe bananas in a clean bowl.
  • In another bowl, add your eggs, butter, honey, yoghurt, vanilla (WET INGREDIENTS) give that a very good mix.
  • Slowly add your mashed banana into the mixture and combine properly
  • In another bowl, add your flour, nutmeg, cinnamon, baking soda & powder, salt and Mix
  • Slowly add your dry ingredients into the wet ingredients and combine until no traces of flour.
  • Use a sharp knife to chop your almond or any nuts of choice, also cut your dark chocolate into fine pieces.
  • Gradually add your chopped almond and chocolate into your batter with a spatula, fold in nicely. DO NOT OVER MIX!
  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf tin and smooth the surface with a spatula.
  • Bake the cake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes @ 180 degrees, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  • Allow your banana bread to cool in the tin before turning it out and slicing.
