Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 tbsp smooth apricot jam
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk

For the Sauce

  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract 

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a baking dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking soda, and salt.

  • In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, melted butter, apricot jam, and vanilla extract together.

  • Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix well, gradually adding the milk until you have a smooth batter.

  • Pour the batter into the greased baking dish and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • In a saucepan, combine all the sauce ingredients over medium heat.Stir continuously until the butter has melted and the sauce is smooth and well combined.

  • Pour the sauce over the batter in the baking dish.
  • Carefully place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the pudding is cooked through and has a sponge-like texture.
  • Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
  • You can serve the chocolate malva pudding warm with ice cream, custard, or whipped cream for a delicious treat!
