I always looked forward to Saturday mornings at Grandma’s house as a little girl. She’d wake me up with the comforting aroma of eggs cooking in the kitchen. I’d rush to the table, eager for her famous scrambled egg sandwiches. Golden fluffy egg piled high between crispy buttered toast never failed to hit the spot.

Grandma’s scrambled egg sandwich recipe was perfected over the years and passed down through generations. She learned it from her mother, who learned it from her mother before that. Whenever Grandma made those sandwiches, fond memories came flooding back from her childhood.

I can still picture her standing at the stove, spatula in hand, gently stirring the eggs while sharing stories about her grandparents. I begged Grandma to teach me her recipe when I was old enough to help out in the kitchen. The key, she explained, was slowly cooking the eggs over medium-low heat while constantly stirring. I will share her simple recipe with you, including eggs, milk, pepper, butter, toasted bread, and cheddar cheese.

Scrambled Egg Sandwich Calories

A typical scrambled egg sandwich made with 2 eggs, 2 slices of bread, cheese, and condiments contains approximately 300-500 calories, with the eggs providing protein and around 140 calories, the bread supplying 150-200 calories, cheese adding 50-100 calories, and condiments like butter, mayo or avocado contributing 50-150 calories.

The calories can be lowered by using just 1 egg, lighter cheese, minimal condiments, and vegetables instead of high-calorie spreads.
