In October 2025 Wandile Mabaso received one knife at The Best Chef Awards for Les Créatifs, his fine-dining restaurant in Bryanston, Johannesburg. He was one of 15 South African chefs honoured in the global guide that year and one of only two from Johannesburg, with Moses Moloi, in a list dominated by Cape Town and the Winelands. The award kept Les Créatifs among the country's leading kitchens.
