Randy Abbey is a chief executive from Ghana, named to the AFN 100 in 2025 for taking charge of COCOBOD as Ghana raised its cocoa farmgate price.
Dr Randy Abbey became chief executive of the Ghana Cocoa Board in early 2025, pledging to grow local chocolate demand and processing so farmers earn more. In April he toured the Bono and Ahafo cocoa regions, promising a farmgate price that would put Ghana at the top of West Africa's cocoa price index. In August the government raised the 2025/26 price to GHS51,660 a tonne, up 62.58% in dollar terms.
