Number 47 on the 2025 list
Naglaa Mohammad is a founder from Egypt, named to the AFN 100 in 2025 for winning the US$50,000 GoGettaz grand prize for turning algae and palm waste into fertiliser.
On 4 September 2025, at the Africa Food Systems Forum in Dakar, Naglaa Mohammad won the female US$50,000 grand prize of the GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize, chosen from more than 2,000 entries. Her company, P-Vita, uses a patented system that turns algae and recycled palm farm waste into fertiliser and farm inputs, a lower-cost and less chemical alternative to imported products for Egyptian farmers.
