Femi Aluko is a co-founder and CEO from Nigeria, named to the AFN 100 in 2025 for raising a US$9 million Series A as Chowdeck reached 1.5 million customers.
In August 2025 Chowdeck, the Lagos food delivery company Femi Aluko co-founded in 2021 and leads as CEO, raised a US$9 million Series A led by Novastar Ventures, with Y Combinator among the backers. By then it served 1.5 million customers in 11 cities with more than 20,000 riders, and had launched in Ghana in May. Aluko said the round brought Chowdeck closer to becoming Africa's number one super app.
