Fatmata Binta is a chef; founder from Sierra Leone, named to the AFN 100 in 2025 for becoming the UN Food and Agriculture Organization's Regional Goodwill Ambassador for Africa.
On World Food Day, 16 October 2025, the UN Food and Agriculture Organization named Fatmata Binta its Regional Goodwill Ambassador for Africa. Born in Sierra Leone and based in Ghana, she runs Dine on a Mat, a nomadic restaurant built on Fulani food culture, and the Fulani Kitchen Foundation. In the new role she champions women and young farmers, indigenous crops such as fonio, and healthier diets.
