Eric Opoku is a minister for food and agriculture from Ghana, named to the AFN 100 in 2025 for launching Feed Ghana to cut food imports through backyard gardens and school farms.
In April 2025 Eric Opoku announced Feed Ghana, the programme he said would cut reliance on food imports and steady prices, ahead of its national launch on 11 April. It pushed household backyard gardens and school farms, with 129 senior high schools taking part. In October he credited the programme with a nationwide bumper harvest, while admitting that some farmers were struggling to find buyers for their crops.
