In February 2025 Eric Adjepong opened Elmina on 14th Street in Washington, D.C., a contemporary Ghanaian restaurant named after a fishing town in Ghana, which he calls his home country. Each dining room is themed on a commodity that brought wealth to Ghana, and dishes include a jollof duck pot. The Michelin Guide lists Elmina for its modern West African cooking. Adjepong is a former Top Chef contestant and Food Network host.
