Number 43 on the 2025 list
Diana Orembe is a co-founder and CEO from Tanzania, named to the AFN 100 in 2025 for winning the US$300,000 Africa's Business Heroes prize for turning food waste into fish feed.
On 13 December 2025 Diana Orembe won the US$300,000 grand prize at the seventh Africa's Business Heroes, the Jack Ma Foundation's competition. NovFeed, the Dar es Salaam company she co-founded and leads, turns food and farm waste into low-cost fish feed and organic fertiliser, and had reached more than 3,000 Tanzanian farmers. She said the prize gave the company seed capital to expand production of both products.
