Number 41 on the 2025 list
Daniel Wa Mukina is a co-founder from Democratic Republic of Congo, named to the AFN 100 in 2025 for winning a GoGettaz Impact Award for building farm machinery from recycled scrap metal.
In September 2025, at the Africa Food Systems Forum in Dakar, Daniel Wa Mukina won a US$15,000 Impact Award in the GoGettaz Agripreneur Prize, which drew more than 2,000 entries. His company, DASEC SARL, tackles the high cost of imported farm machinery by building agricultural equipment locally, mainly from recycled scrap metal, and also sells its own livestock feed to Congolese farmers.
