Sylvain Ntumba is a commissioner general from DR Congo, named to the AFN 100 in 2024 for leading the second Festival des aliments locaux, celebrating Congolese cuisine in Kinshasa.
Sylvain Ntumba was commissioner general of the second Festival des aliments locaux in Kinshasa, set for 15 to 17 August 2024 at the Université Omnia Omnibus under the theme of Congolese cuisine as a carrier of food authenticity. It offered tastings of traditional dishes, recipe lessons, a producers' exhibition and training for food businesses. In October 2024 he urged nutrition pupils at a Kinshasa school to choose local food over imports.
