On 9 September 2024 Kwame Onwuachi opened Dōgon, a 140-seat Afro-Caribbean restaurant in the newly renovated Salamander hotel in Washington, D.C., run by Sheila Johnson's Salamander group; Johnson has invested in him and calls him her go-to chef.
