Number 5 on the 2024 list
Failatu Abdul-Razak is a chef from Ghana, named to the AFN 100 in 2024 for cooking past 176 hours in Tamale in a Guinness record attempt for Ghana.
At midnight on New Year's Day 2024 Failatu Abdul-Razak began a cooking marathon at the Modern City Hotel in Tamale, aiming to beat the Guinness World Records cook-a-thon mark of 119 hours and 57 minutes. She called it a national assignment for Ghana. By 8 January Africanews reported her at 176 hours and counting, and the marathon had turned into a mini food festival of Ghanaian cuisine shared on social media.
