In June 2024 Dennis Ombachi, known online as The Roaming Chef, was one of 50 creators worldwide selected for TikTok's Change Makers programme, a six-month scheme for social impact creators. He received a US$25,000 grant for his advocacy with Mtoto News, a digital platform that gives young people a voice in tech. He had about 2.3 million followers and is known for his one-word catchphrase, Done.
