Basha Bekele Butusha is a coffee farmer from Ethiopia, named to the AFN 100 in 2024 for growing the coffee that tied for first at Ethiopia's 2024 Cup of Excellence.
Coffee from Basha Bekele Butusha's Basha farm in Sidama won the 2024 Cup of Excellence in Ethiopia, where his two natural-process lots tied for first place at 90.50 points. At the auction, lot 1A sold for US$445 per pound to Angelino's Coffee and lot 1B for US$350.10 per pound, together worth more than US$169,000. The competition also named him one of its two Presidential Award winners that year.
