Ayo Adeyemi is an executive chef from Nigeria, named to the AFN 100 in 2024 for being named Chef to Watch as Akoko ranked 23rd in the UK top 100.
Born in Scotland to Nigerian parents, Ayo Adeyemi ran the kitchen at Akoko, a West African tasting-menu restaurant in London. In June 2024 he was named Chef to Watch at the National Restaurant Awards, while Akoko ranked 23rd in the UK top 100. Great British Chefs says he earned a Michelin star at Akoko in 2024, the same year he announced he would leave to start a new chapter.
