Number 2 on the 2024 list
Akrame Benallal is a chef and founder from Algeria, named to the AFN 100 in 2024 for designing a vegetable-led menu for athletes at the Paris 2024 Olympic Village.
For the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, Akrame Benallal was one of three French chefs invited by the organising committee to design dishes for athletes at the Olympic Village. Inspired by the Games' sustainability goals, he built a vegetable-led menu, with a signature crispy quinoa muesli served with smoked yoghurt, Parmesan and fresh herbs. Born in France and of Algerian origin, he spent his first 13 years in Algeria and runs Akrame in Paris.
