Waiting for a cook
Sudan
Ful sudani means simply "Sudanese peanuts", and it is the name of both the country's great export crop and these little biscuits made from it: roasted peanuts ground coarse and folded into a stiff sweet meringue, dropped in spoonfuls on a tray and baked until crisp and pale gold. They are closer to a crunchy nut meringue than to a French macaroon, take three ingredients, and go with a glass of cinnamon tea or Sudanese coffee. The recipe has travelled far through the New Internationalist Food Book of 1990, which is how many outside Sudan first met it.
The draft was written from 2 published sources and holds 5 ingredients and 7 steps. It has never been cooked by anybody at AFN, which is why it is waiting.
