Kiano Moju published her cookbook AfriCali: Recipes from My Jikoni in 2024, with more than 85 recipes that blend the Kenyan and Nigerian food of her family with California cooking. Born to a Kenyan mother and a Nigerian father and raised in Oakland, she is a food writer, recipe developer and video producer whose work has appeared on BuzzFeed's Tasty and Food52. WNYC featured the book in August 2024.
