Antoinette de Chavonnes Vrugt, chef and author (Namibia), figure dans l’AFN 100 2023 pour writing "My Hungry Heart", the first Namibian book to win at the Gourmand Awards.
Antoinette de Chavonnes Vrugt is a popular chef and the top cookbook author in Namibia. Her first book, "My Hungry Heart," won a special award for being one of the best cookbooks globally for African cuisine in 2009. This was a significant achievement as it was the first time a Namibian book had been recognized at the International Gourmand Awards, often called the "Oscars of Food Awards."
