En attente d'un cuisinier
Nigeria
Coconut candy is the Nigerian roadside sweet sold in old bottles at motor parks and toll gates along the Lagos to Benin road: strips of fresh coconut cooked with sugar (and the coconut water) until the syrup caramelises and clings to every shred, then cooled into sticky, chewy clumps or cut into squares. There is a drier, toasted version too, made in a dry pan with a little sugar and salt, which mothers make from the coconut left after squeezing milk and which children eat with soaked garri. Both are called coconut candy; both are very sweet.
Le brouillon a été écrit à partir de 3 sources publiées et compte 4 ingrédients et 6 étapes. Personne chez AFN ne l'a jamais cuisiné, et c'est pourquoi il attend.
