AFN Tell us about yourself!
Chef Londi A trained chef, food creator, recipe developer/writer, and aspiring food stylist. A born-again Christian, wife, and mother to three children, located in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
AFN Why do you cook?
Chef Londi Food is my love language, I have been a cook since the early stages of my life. Adulting made me want to pursue a career in the food industry as it has always been my number 1 passion.
AFN What is your favorite memory in the kitchen?
Chef Londi Would be making the most delicious meals out of the simple and the little we had at my grandma's house. I still remember the aromas, the long hours she’d take cooking and most of her Garden.
AFN What is your biggest cooking fail?
Chef Londi Catering, I am not a caterer. In the early stages of my brand, I started with catering and food deliveries. And oh I discovered, my heart is not there. I am more into Food Styling, Food Creator and Recipe Writer.
AFN What are your favorite foods to cook and why?
Chef Londi I love South African food, It tells a story of my life, it speaks of home for me. Anything South African I’d happily cook and add a little Chef twist to it.
AFN What would you like to share with our audience?
Chef Londi Find your gift, find the purpose of God for your life that God created you for. Your talents and giftings. Perfect it and work towards it. Your breakthrough is there.
AFN How can your fans reach you on social media?

Reading this in rainy Birmingham while trying to get my kids to eat properly! That adulting part is so true sha, when life gets stressful you just want to go back to what brought you joy as a child. Hope her catering business is strictly halal, would love to stop by whenever I visit SA next.
Ndlovu's story about cooking from a young age reminds me of standing next to my auntie making proper Sunday kos with Rajah curry powder. So inspiring to see a local sister turning that childhood passion into a real career. Does she cater for events in the Free State or just Gauteng?
Cooking since childhood is really the story of so many of us oo. When she says food is her love language, you can just tell it comes from the heart paa. I wonder if she ever incorporates West African flavors into her dishes or if she stays strictly traditional SA.
Adulting will really force you to sit down and ask yourself what actually gives you peace abeg. Turning your childhood passion into full time business no be small thing o. Chef Londi is doing amazing work, hope she opens a spot in Lagos soonest!
That line about adulting pushing her back to her childhood passion hit home. Is Chef Londi based out of Johannesburg, or does she do pop-ups internationally? Id love to see what her signature menu looks like.
