Stir in the smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, thyme, curry powder, salt, and pepper. Adjust the seasonings according to your taste preferences.

Add the parboiled rice to the pot and stir until it is well coated with the tomato and spice mixture

Pour in the chicken or vegetable broth and bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the rice simmer for about 25-30 minutes, or until the rice is cooked and the liquid is absorbed. If using cooked meat or seafood, you can add it to the pot at this stage
4 cups chicken or vegetable broth, cooked meat or seafood (chicken, shrimp, or fish)
Once the rice is cooked, fluff it gently with a fork and let it sit covered for a few minutes to steam.
