Ingredients
  

For Chicken Wings

  • 2 pound chicken wings or flats
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch

For lemon pepper sauce

  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest (juiced from lemon)
  • 2 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ½ stick butter (melted)
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • pinch of salt (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
  • Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

  • In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with 1 tablespoon of cornstarch until they're evenly coated for added crispiness.

  • Arrange the coated chicken wings on the baking sheet.
  • Bake the wings in the preheated oven for about 25-30 minutes until they're golden brown and fully cooked, flipping them halfway through if desired.
  • While the wings are baking, mix lemon pepper seasoning, lemon zest, fresh lemon juice, honey, melted butter, cayenne pepper, ground black pepper, and salt in a bowl to create the zesty sauce.

  • Once the wings are cooked, place them in a large mixing bowl while they're still hot.
