Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups wheat
  • 1 cup ground peanuts (roasted and finely ground)
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar (optional, for a sweeter version)
  • Water (as needed)
  • Vegetable oil (for deep frying) 

Instructions
 

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the wheat flour, ground peanuts, baking powder, salt, and sugar (if using).
    2 cups wheat, 1 cup ground peanuts (roasted and finely ground), 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1/4 teaspoon salt, 1/4 cup sugar (optional, for a sweeter version)
  • Gradually add water to the dry ingredients and mix well until a firm dough is formed. The dough should be pliable and not too sticky. Adjust the water quantity as needed.

  • Divide the dough into small portions and roll them into thin circles or squares, about 1/8 inch thick.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or fryer to about 350°F (175°C).
    Vegetable oil (for deep frying) 
  • Carefully slide the rolled dough into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy on both sides. Flip them occasionally to ensure even cooking.
  • Remove the fried Gullisuwa from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil.
  • Allow them to cool before serving.
