Green Seasoning Recipe

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup packed parsley
  • ½ cup packed cilantro
  • 1 celery stalk
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 gloves garlic (chopped)
  • 1 habanero or scotch bonnet pepper( seeded and chopped)
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • ½ 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil (optional)

Instructions
 

  • Add all ingredients to a food processor or blender.
  • Mix until a smooth, uniform paste forms.
  • Add a tablespoon of water at a time if needed to facilitate blending.
  • Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Notes

From this basic recipe, you can customize and tweak to your heart's content. Add more of your favorite herbs or a kick of ginger. Make it mild or extra spicy. The possibilities are endless.
