Banana waffles are a delicious breakfast option that combines the classic taste of waffles with the sweet and creamy flavor of bananas.

Ingredients
  

  • cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 2 large ripe banana mashed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

  • In a separate bowl, mash the ripe bananas until smooth.

  • Add the mashed bananas, eggs, milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined; do not overmix. A few lumps are okay.

  • Preheat your waffle iron, and lightly grease it if necessary.
  • Pour an appropriate amount of batter onto the hot waffle iron (the amount will depend on the size and design of your waffle iron).
  • Close the waffle iron and cook until the waffles are golden brown and crisp, usually about 3-5 minutes.
  • Carefully remove the waffles from the iron and place them on a plate. Repeat with the remaining batter.
  • Serve the banana waffles warm with your favorite toppings, such as sliced bananas, maple syrup, chopped nuts, or whipped cream.
